"My work explores states of transition: what it means to shed one version of yourself while becoming another."

JOAQUÍN VILLARINO

Joaquín Villarino

Born in Spain and raised in Chile, Joaquín Villarino began his professional career in Los Angeles, where he lived and worked for a decade, developing his artistic practice before returning to Chile, where he is now based.

His practice explores the intersection of emotional authenticity and formal structure through large-scale works that examine transformation, continuity, and the relationship between past and present selves.

His work is held in private collections across Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, among others.
